Description

An audiophile grade AC power supply for the maudifi PhonOh!756 phono stage, maudifi Stage 2 540P / 551P, the classic Cambridge Audio phono stages, DacMagic and the Musical Fidelity X -series.  See the list of known devices this will work with below.  It may also be compatible with other devices, but you need to check the ratings of the specific unit.

This maudifi power supply unit (PSU) uses an excellent audio-grade toroidal transformer from Toroidy Transformatory in Poland.  These have additional magnetic screening and coated shielding copper tape between windings.  maudifi has deliberately over-specified these for the expected loads.  It is capable of providing up to 2.5Amps, but the required load for these devices is typically less than 500mA.

The chassis is a 3mm aluminium extrusion with 5mm thick aluminium front and back panels.  The fused IEC AC inlet has EMC filtering for electromagnetic compatibility requirements.  An IEC mains cable is requried.  Not supplied, as we recommend choosing your preferred quality power cable.  An output cable is supplied for connection to your phono stage, DAC, etc.  This is constructed from shielded silver-plated oxygen free copper conductors and terminated in 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel jack suitable for connection to the devices listed below.
