Stage 1 – Essential Refinement

Stage 1, Essential Refinement upgrade kit for all the Cambridge Audio Azur 3xx evolution of integrated amplifiers, except the very first edition.  i.e. This kit is suitable for the 340A v2, 340A SE, 350A or the 351A. The upgrade is carried out by maudifi and returned to you.

This maudifi upgrade adds detail and transparency, improves separation and increases the scale of the soundstage.  Width and depth of the stereo image are dramatically transformed to produce a more realistic musical performance. With the hidden potential of your amplifier released it can rival amplifiers several steps up the price ladder after maudification (made-up word alert).

• Capacitors in main signal path upgraded at 18 points (NB the 340A v2 and later variants have DC blocking capacitors on every input hence the larger number over the 340A v1)
• Pre-Amplifier section
  • Reservoir capacitors uprated and upgraded
  • Bypass capacitors uprated and upgraded
  • Input buffer Op-amp upgraded to higher performance alternative
  • Tone Control Op-Amp upgraded to higher performance alternative
• Power Amplifier section
  • Reservoir capacitors uprated and upgraded
  • Bypass capacitors added to reservoir capacitors
  • Local bypass capacitors uprated and upgraded

• Amplifier not included.  This is an upgrade service only.  You must supply your own amplifier.  This will be returned to you following the upgrade service.
