I loved my old CA, had no complaints and traipsed along merrily in life…until I decided to invest in a new R2R DAC. As is wont in most obsessions, one life-changing experience begs another, and I started thinking of how I could have my CAke and eat it too (figuratively speaking). A little online research and trawling through forums led me to Maudifi.

Scott promised improved detail, imaging and an expanded soundstage, and this kit delivered in spades! The amp still has that weighty feel, but I’m hearing things I never heard before, in places that they weren’t before (in an excellent way), and I’m a very very happy camper.

Yesterday my kid rocks up and says “Dad, how come your speakers sound better? I can hear the strumming of the guitars so clearly and they sound so BIG” … which reminded me to stop listening to my music for a bit and write a review for Scott. Well done, sir. Well done.
