New video posted: Allo DigiOne Signature + Allo USBridge Part1

This is part one of a series of videos on integrating the Allo DigiOne Signature and Allo USBridge with a low noise clean power supply and housing it all in a single, more high-end looking compact chassis.

A low-noise voltage regulator circuit based on the Walter Jung super-regulator is used with high quality toroidal transformer, rectifier and reservoir smoothing capacitors. Listening tests are then conducted to compare the sound quality with this versus a pure DC Lithium-Ion battery pack.

Finally, the plans for the chassis are introduced with a preview model of the rear connector panel. The finished item will have the low-noise mains power supply AND battery pack housed within it alongside the USBridge/DigiOne Signature to provide a neat audiophile solution. It will be suitable for this combination, or the DigiOne Signature attached to a standard RaspberryPi. The USBridge is a lower noise design specifically for higher-end audio, using a Raspberry Pi compute module.

The next video in the series will look more closely at the enclosure design. Please subscribe to be notified when that is posted.
